The Importance of Addressing Allergies

We have so many symptoms and discomforts:

  • headaches
  • digestive problems: gas, bloating, cramps, diarrhea, constipation, colitis
  • aches and pains in our muscles and joints
  • chronic sinus pressure, chronic stuffy nose or chronic post nasal drip
  • bad breath
  • fatigue, inability to focus, short attention span
  • cough, recurrent colds or bronchitis, asthma
  • irregular heart beat
  • inability to lose weight, edema
  • in children: chronic ear infections, bed wetting, skin rashes, learning disorders, hyperactivity
This list is not complete. Yet it is estimated that over 60 percent of the people with these problems have allergies, especially food allergies, that may be causing or contributing to these complaints.

Instead of taking drugs for these complaints, which can cause side effects and aggravate the situation, we can learn what we are allergic to, eliminate the offending substance, and thus feel better. Often we can also improve our health, immune, and nutritional status so that we are not as allergic.

One way to assess these allergies is through electrodermal testing. Dr. Lippman uses an FDA-registered device that allows the assessment of allergies in a non-invasive fashion, and to determine what steps the individual can take in order to tolerate the substance(s). This procedure is performed in one office visit. At that time Dr. Lippman also find remedies – in the form of dietary counseling, nutrients, homeopthics, or herbs to reduce or alleviate the sensitivity.
